In the heart of Tuscany, near Siena, atop one of the hills that dominates the Elsa Valley, stands San Gimignano, an ancient medieval city, which still preserves its roots and its works of art.

Highlights which must be seen are the Collegiate Church, one of the most famous in the world, containing frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli and Ghirlandaio, and the Museo Civico with its collection of apothecary jars from the Spezieria di Santa Fina.
Besides its famous Vernaccia wine, San Gimignano's many shops offer the products of typical Tuscan artisans, marked by the skill and tradition handed down from father to son, from boar sausages to cheeses, from terracotta to hand-made pottery, to leather goods.
